BadWareBusters.org is a
platform for the further development of StopBadware’s strategy to bring together people, organizations, and data in new ways to fight back against badware. The site already offers a pretty neat user reputation and message rating system, but we plan to build on this to provide tools that allow the community to express its collective voice. We want to learn from our users, so that StopBadware’s research and advocacy activities can be as effective and current as possible.
In addition to helping users with badware problems on their computers, the BadwareBusters community has helped webmasters of sites that have been hacked to distribute badware.
The project comes from StopBadware.org and Consumer Reports WebWatch.

The Pointer Sisters released this 12" in 1978 on Planet Records. It has a stunning intro and is simply a solid track start to finish. Production by Richard Perry. "Happiness" isn't a pricey record by any means, but it is one that moves the floor. -

May 24th, 2009UncategorizedJim Mullen (born November 26, 1945) is a Glasgow-born jazz guitarist with a distinctive style, like Wes Montgomery before him, picking with the thumb rather than a plectrum.
Having played with Brian Auger’s Oblivion Express, appearing on the band’s first three albums together with future Average White Band drummer Robbie MacIntosh, Mullen then joined Kokomo and later toured with the Average White Band.
It was while both musicians were touring the U.S. with AWB in the mid-70s that Mullen met up with tenor saxophone player Dick Morrissey, and throughout the 1980s, he found considerable critical, if not commercial, acclaim as joint leader of the pioneering British jazz funk band Morrissey - Mullen.
Mullen has also played and recorded with, among others, Pete Brown & Piblokto!, Mose Allison, Hamish Stuart (ex-Average White Band), Tam White, Claire Martin, Mike Carr, Jimmy Witherspoon and Georgie Fame.
He has won many British music awards including “Best Guitar” in the British Telecom Jazz Awards (1994, 1996 and 2000).
Most recently, Jim Mullen has recorded as part of The AllStars a collective of session musicians on their Paul McCartney-produced album All About the Music, alongside special guests Jocelyn Brown, Hamish Stuart and Angelo Starr.

May 23rd, 2009UncategorizedHappy Apple is an American jazz trio.
Formed in 1996 in Minneapolis, members of the band are David King (drums), Michael Lewis (saxophones) and Erik Fratzke (electric bass).
All three members compose music for the group; which places equal emphasis on improvisation. Happy Apple plays a brand of jazz music, drawing on several other genres; the group’s members play in other bands ranging from indie rock and heavy metal to free jazz and electronic. The best known of these is The Bad Plus, in which King also plays drums.
Their name comes from a Fisher-Price toy from the seventies, which King often uses as an auxiliary percussion instrument.

Yello: Only a year after Solid Pleasure, Yello's second album is released. Claro Que Si was the group's second LP and their last for Ralph Records. It contained their first huge hit "Pinball Cha Cha", which opened the door to their well-known career. The artwork for Claro Que Si has been significantly praised worldwide.Original designer Jim Cherry went on to win numerous awards and acclaim for this masterpiece of album art.For the first time you can hear the musical way that Yello will follow over the next years. The experimenting is slowly making place for routine mixing and sampling ... bringing forth some dancetracks as "Daily Disco" and "Pinball Cha Cha". What will become significant for Yello is the scene setting and the various (world-) musical styles, which can be find in songs as "She's Got A Gun", "Cyad El Habib" and " Homer Hossa".01.
